Hearts in the World events are street Art
events, free and fun, getting people closer to Art benefiting both the city and the
sponsors. Local citizens and visitors enjoy strolling in a city to find and photograph the
Heart sculptures. The artists, both renowned and upcoming, appreciate the opportunity to
have their work seen.
What happens to the Hearts when
the exhibition is over?
The Heart sculptures are sold at auction,
with a 50% of the proceeds being donated to a local charity.
Which kind of artists may take part?
Before the start of the Exhibition, an
invitation is extended to anyone wishing to participate and submit a design, artists,
designers, architects, art students among others, are invited to be part of the
exhibition. The designs are reviewed and then offered for review to potential sponsors,
who make the final choice. When a design is approved by the sponsors, the artists start
implementing their original design to a piece of Art, in the Artist’s studio, receiving
a pre-agreed fee for their work.
Financing of the project comes from
where?
Sponsors contribute to the financing of the
event; they select a design, and adopt a Heart sculpture for the duration of the
exhibition.
